Share & Seek - February 21

Let’s focus on the following points:

•          That we will allow God to direct our steps both individually and for Refuge West Church.

Let’s pray first!

Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Joshua 1:7

Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left. Isaiah 30:21

•          We pray for God to release His boldness within us personally, our families and our children, so that we will stand for righteousness in our schools, workplace and community.

"For I, the Lord your God will hold your right hand, saying to you, 'Fear not, I will help you.'" Isaiah 41:13 [NKJV]

•          Pray for our nation’s leaders & officials.
• Pray for our state and local leaders & officials.
• Pray for Refuge West Church’s leaders, elders & pastors.
• Pray that each of these men and women will utilize God’s wisdom & covering to carry out the plans and purposes of the Lord.

"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence." 1 Timothy 2:1-2

• Let’s give God praise for all He has given us!

"Because Your loving-kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You." Psalm 63:3

This Thursday 5:30-6am, Divine Design Ladies launch our “Seek & Share.”

Let’s focus on the following points:

·         We pray for opportunities this week to show His love to others. May we listen and respond to voice of the Holy Spirit.
"Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail." 1 Cor. 13:4-7

 

·         We pray for restoration of broken families at Refuge West Church.
"And be kind one to another tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you." Ephesians 4:32

·         We thank God for His faithfulness in each life and pray for those that are discouraged. We pray that each lady would know their purpose in the Kingdom.
 Every time you cross my mind, I break out in exclamations of thanks to God. Each exclamation is a trigger to prayer. I find myself praying for you with a glad heart. I am so pleased that you have continued on in this with us, believing and proclaiming God’s Message, from the day you heard it right up to the present. There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears. Philippians 1:3-6 (MSG)

 

·         We pray that Refuge West would be a conduit of His love.
As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. John 15:9

 

·         We pray that God would heal the hearts of Refuge West Church and renew our strength. That he would fill us with a thankful heart. “Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. ² Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. ³ He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. ⁴ He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. ⁵ He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!” Ps 103:1-5

A Special Guest... Shares From the Heart

"Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need.  But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God."  1 Timothy 5:3-4 (NIV)

We, as the church, are charged with helping those who are in need.  However, this does not mean the family members of the person in need do not need to give assistance.  As this passage in 1 Timothy states, by helping our parents and grandparents when they are in need, we are repaying them.  We do not become human ATMs for those who are able, but choose not to work.  Nor do we become slaves for those who can, but refuse to care for themselves or their homes.  We seek God in prayer and when prompted to provide for someone in need we do so gladly, knowing a day will come when we will be in need and God will send his saints to care for us.  We benefit from this now because we have been given enough to be able to share with others, and we benefit later when others help us in our time of need.  And, above all, God is pleased. - Robin

What is a Home Experience Group?

  A Home Experience Group meets monthly to encourage other sisters in Christ, dialogue & pray together, and grow in wisdom about how to respond to the Holy Spirit's instructions based on Proverbs 24:3-4 which says...

           “By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.” 

–Purpose

       To restore greater value to our homes and family life. ·        To understand how the Lord’s rewards are received and passed on in your life through the application of stewardship. ·        To motivate us to be faithful & trustworthy with all the resources and talents God has entrusted to us. ·        To understand how the Lord’s presence can bring unity, health & healing to our tables.
